You know those days where you go to Goodwill ājust to browseā? Yeah⦠that was me recently. I had it in the back of my mind to look for a cupcake maker since retail ones run around $50 (which is a bit much for a maybe-use-it-twice situation). But instead of a cupcake maker, I stumbled on a cake pop makerājust $11!
At first, I hesitated. Do I really need this? But for that price, I figured it was worth the risk. Spoiler alert: it absolutely was.
As soon as I got home, I gave it a good wash and decided to try it out. But instead of making cake pops, I used brownie mix. And let me tell youāthis thing made perfect little brownie bites! š
Hereās what I did:
- Mixed up a standard box of brownie mix.
- Used a small ice cream scoop, filling it just a little less than halfway.
- Popped the batter into the cake pop maker and let it cook for about 8 minutes.
The result? Warm, chewy brownie bites with that delicious crispy edge texture we all love. If you put them in a container after they cool just a little and seal it up, they get even softer while keeping that perfect brownie consistency. It’s like a dream if you love the corner pieces!
Why I Love It:
- Quick treat: Great for when you want to bake but donāt want to deal with the oven.
- Small portions: Perfect for snacking without overcommitting.
- Office-friendly: Honestly, I could see this being super handy if you work from homeāor even in an actual office with a little kitchen area.
The only downside?
I do wish it had a built-in timer or auto shut-off. You have to keep an eye on the time yourself. But honestly? For $11, Iām not mad about it.
It did take a bit of time to get through the whole batch, but every single bite was worth it. Iām already thinking about what else I can try in this thing nextāMini pancakes? The possibilities are kinda endless.
